The AES Robos, our 4th-6th grade Robotics Team, is going to the regional competition. Congratulations! Stay tuned to see how they do!
We had a great time on Saturday, Dec 3rd for our annual Breakfast with Santa event! Thank you to everyone that came out to support Argyle Elementary. It was a lot of fun! A HUGE SHOUT OUT to our P.I.E. volunteers and our OHS student volunteers.
On Friday October 21, Argyle Elementary participated in the Jim Harbin Student Media festival in Orlando, Florida to honor two students Cort Suarez and Synclair Francis and their TV Production Sponsor, Jessica Ayers.
Students from across the state of Florida enter their students' created and produced videos and compete first at their regional level and then move on to the state level.
Argyle has been lucky enough to enter at the state level for the last 2 years and with the help of some wonderful students we have been able to place at state both years. As a 1st grader, Cort and 2nd grader, Synclair created a K-2 News Feature titled The Cort Report- Pi Day. The Pi Day video featured one of our very own 5th grade teachers Mrs. Bolla, who explained the importance of Pi Day and how we celebrate at Argyle Elementary.
The Cort Report- Pi Day placed first place at the regional level in May and made it to the state level where it also placed first!!
This is Cort's second year placing at the state level and we couldn't be more proud to have these amazing students on our Argyle campus. We are very excited to see what's in store this year and the amazing things these students will do.
Congratulations Cort and Synclair!!
On Friday, September 16th, we had our annual Back to School Boardwalk Bash. As you can see in the pictures, fun was had by all. Thank you to P.I.E. and all of our volunteers for your help making this a memorable night.

What an amazing first two weeks of school we have had! Our students and teachers are working hard to make this the best year yet.
On May 14th, our 4th and 5th grade Math Teams and Muggins Club participated in Math Field Day. The students worked hard and did a great job! In the individual competitions two 4th grade students tied for high scores along with one 5th grade student. Our 5th grade Team won the Silver Award. A special thanks to Lisa Green, Mary Bolla and Jamie Suarez for giving their time working with these students to prepare them for the event and support them there as well. Congratulations to our teams! You all make Argyle proud!

Thursday, April 14th the Clay County Election’s office visited Argyle. Students learned about elections and how voting works in Clay County. Students then participated in a school election for their favorite Sunshine State Young Reader Award title. Kindergarten, first and second grades voted using a picture ballot provided by the Elections Office. 3rd – 5th grade students, who read three or more of the fifteen titles, were able to use the county voting equipment.
During the week of May 2, 2016 – May 6, 2016 all elementary schools in Clay County will be registering kindergarten students for the 2016-2017 school year. To enter kindergarten, a child must be five (5) years of age on or before September 1, 2016, verified by a registered birth certificate (Florida Statute 1003.21.) Clay County policy has no provision for early admission to kindergarten.
Florida’s Compulsory Immunization Law requires that, prior to entry, attendance or transfer; all children comply with the state adopted immunization schedule (Florida Statute 1003.22). For the 2016-2017 school year, DH Form 680 (or Religious Exemption DH Form 681) is the only acceptable immunization certificate for admittance to a public or non-public school, grades Pre-K through 12. The Form 680 can be obtained from your doctor or the Clay County Health Department. The Form 681 can be obtained from the Clay County Health Department.
A child may be certified as fully immunized if he/she has completed, prior to entry, the following vaccinations:
· 4 or 5 doses of Diphtheria-Tetanus-Pertussis (DtaP) vaccine
· 2 or 3 doses of Hepatitis B (Hep B) vaccine—requires 6 months to complete
· 3, 4 or 5 doses of Polio vaccine *
· 2 doses of measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccine
· 2 doses of varicella vaccine †
* If fourth dose of vaccine is administered prior to fourth birthday, a fifth dose of polio vaccine is required for kindergarten entry only.
† Varicella vaccine is not required if varicella disease is documented by health care provider
A school physical examination performed within one year prior to the first day of enrollment is also a required requirement.
In addition to health documentation and proof of date of birth, you will need multiple proofs of residency. Some items required for proof of residency (3 - 4 required) are driver’s license/Florida i.d. with current address, current utility bills, mortgage or rental agreement, and insurance, credit card or bank statements. A complete list of registration requirements is available on the Parent page of our District website at: http://www.oneclay.net/parents.html
Registration is not considered complete without ALL required documents.
Parents may register their children at any time during the week of May 2, 2016 – May 5, 2016; this early registration will enable all involved to do a better job in planning for the next school year. We encourage parents to take advantage of this early registration opportunity.
